Yoddha is a Malayalam language film produced in India in 1992. The film was written and directed by Sangeeth Sivan and is based on The Golden Child.

The movie stars the Malayalam superstar Mohanlal as Ashokan, who is a village fellow who is always in competition with his cousin Appukkuttan played by the comedy actor Jagathi Sreekumar. Urvashi and Madhoo, play the lead female roles. The movie goes on as Ashokan is sent to Nepal to meet his uncle as an astrologer predicts that if he stays at home, he will commit a murder. Once there, he finds that Appukuttan has already reached there claiming that he was Ashokan. There, he loses his luggage and is shunned off to streets where he is joined by the Rinpoche, the Sacred Boy of one of the monasteries, who escaped from his tormentors. The evil forces try to kidnap the child, and Mohanlal is drawn into the fight.

This is the first film in which A R Rahman was introduced as a music director.This is the only Malayalam film which has music composed by A.R.Rahman
