Yocheved Bat-Miriam (born 1901 in Russia - died 1979 in Israel) is an Israeli poet. She is unusual among Hebrew poets in expressing nostalgia for the landscapes of the country of her birth. She migrated to the land of Israel in 1926. Her first book of poetry, Merahok ("From a distance") was published in 1929. In 1948, her son from her second marriage to writer Haim Hazaz died in the Israeli War of Independence. Bat-Miriam was awarded the Israel Prize in 1972, and the Bialik Prize.
