[edit] Youth Opportunity Center

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Youth Opportunity Center, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Deleted article

Hi there. I noticed the comment on your user page, and wanted to provide some background on why the article was deleted. I tagged it with a proposed deletion tag; if I recall correctly, it was because the article was about a service centre in one city that likely did not meet the notability guidelines that are required for articles here. The deletion log indicates that the article was deleted when the proposed deletion tag was on it for five days with no changes, and an administrator agreed with the reason for deletion. User:Moreschi may have more details on his thought process with regards to the article. Hope this helps. I'll drop a "welcome" template under this message too, to give you some useful links around Wikipedia. Cheers! Tony Fox (arf!) 03:27, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
