Yoani Sánchez

Yoani Sánchez (born September 4, 1975 in Havana) is a Cuban philologist and blogger. Sanchez was awarded the Premio Ortega y Gasset de Periodismo (Ortega y Gasset Journalism Award) in Spain but has not been able to get it because of the travel restrictions on Cubans by the Castros led Cuban regime. In 2008 Time magazine considered Sanchez as one of the 100 most influential people in the world.[1]
