Yoan Gouffran (born May 25, 1986 in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges) is a French footballer of Guadeloupean descent[1], currently playing for SM Caen. His position is striker. He has bags of pace and is an excellent finisher with both feet.

Gouffran took part in the 2006 U-21 Championships in Portugal, where he made four appearances and scored one goal.

On May 20, 2007, Gouffran was awarded French Ligue 2 Player of the Season after a successful season with SM Caen which saw the club promoted to the Ligue 1.[2] The 21-year-old was named Ligue 2 Player of the Year as he helped Caen seal promotion to the top flight of French football.

Yoann Gouffran is set to leave this summer after much speculation about his future in the press. It is said that many of Europe's top sides, including Lyon and Arsenal, are interested in his services but Bordeaux are currently in pole position for his signature. Gouffran has made it clear that he would love to play in France week in week out and also to take part in Champions League football, and that he will analyze Bordeaux's offer and others who are interested in his services and will make a decision soon. Arsenal are reportedly preparing a last-ditch offer despite Yoann apparently having agreed to join Girondins Bordeaux [1]
