Yngvar Nielsen

Yngvar Nielsen (1843-1916) was a Norwegian historian and geographer. He was also a conservative politician and an important advisor in Norway to the Swedish-Norwegian king Oscar II of Sweden and Norway.
Yngvar Nielsen was important for developing tourism in Norway, especially through his guide books published also in English and German.
He was the son of telegrapher Carsten Tank Nielsen.
