Hi, I'm YLSS aka Súrendil, and welcome to my user page.

I'm a student at Moscow State University CMC faculty, and regret much of the time I waste there instead of editing Wikipedia. Here, I'm primarily concerned (at least for now) with articles related to J. R. R. Tolkien's works, especially with the less developed Silmarillion topics and various 'Concept and creation' sections. In addition to this Tolkien-gnomish work, I occasionaly carry out some WikiGnomish tasks such as cleaning up disambiguation pages, revising categories etc.

With regard to Tolkien-related articles: I generally try to write as out-of-universe as I can manage, though regrettably I am unable to provide enough real-world references and can occasionally plunge into excessive fancruft (not fanfic!). In the near future I plan to carry out merging articles (not necessarily stubs) as decided by WikiProject Middle-earth, and expanding, recasting and referencing them in the prossess.
