For millions of years, the volcanoes of the Central Anatolian Plateau erupted and created wondrous landscape of Cappadocia, Turkey. The first period of settlement within the region reaches to Roman period of Christianity era.At the image you see fresco in Yilanli (Snake) Church dating back to 11th century.
