[edit] Licensing

I, Ltljltlj, the creator of this image, hereby release it into the public domain. If that cannot be done for any reason, including the nonexistence of a way to release a work into the public domain, I release it (or my changes in the case of a derivative work) under the following license:
Copyright This image is copyrighted. The copyright holder has irrevocably released all rights to it, allowing it to be freely reproduced, distributed, transmitted, used, modified, built upon, or otherwise exploited in any way by anyone for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial, with or without attribution of the author.

600 mm (24 in) yield sign, made to the specifications of the 2004 edition of Standard Highway Signs (sign R1-2). Uses the Roadgeek 2005 fonts. (United States law does not permit the copyrighting of typeface designs, and the fonts are meant to be copies of a U.S. Government-produced work anyway.) Colors are from [1] (Pantone Red 187), converted to RGB by [2]. The outside border has a width of 1 (1 mm) and a color of black so it shows up; in reality, signs have no outside border.

Public domain This file is in the public domain because it comes from the US FHWA Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, sign number R1-2, which states specifically on page I-1 that:
Any traffic control device design or application provision contained in this Manual shall be considered to be in the public domain. Traffic control devices contained in this Manual shall not be protected by a patent, trademark, or copyright, except for the Interstate Shield and any other items owned by FHWA.
In addition,
Public domain This work is in the public domain in the United States because it is a work of the United States Federal Government under the terms of Title 17, Chapter 1, Section 105 of the US Code. See Copyright.

Note: This only applies to works of the Federal Government and not to the work of any individual U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, county, municipality, or any other subdivision.
