Yevgeny Popov

Yevgeny Popov (Евгений Анатольевич Попов) (born Krasnoyarsk, 1946) is a Russian writer, known for short stories. He trained as a geologist, but from 1975 supported himself in Moscow in order to write.

His stories began to be published in large numbers in the 1990s; he has also written a novel. He uses elements of fairy tale construction and literary parody.
