Yevgeny Kutik

Yevgeny Kutik (Russian-American violinist b. 1985) has over the years been building a prestigious violin career [1]. A student of legendary violinist Roman Totenberg and famous pedagogue, Donald Weilerstein [2], Kutik recently performed at Ozawa Hall [3] (Lenox, MA) where he played solo Bach to a full audience (Listen: [4]). Mr. Kutik competed in the 2006 International Violin Competition of Indianapolis [5] where he became a key figure in a newly released film exploring the life of the competitors [6]. Kutik's 2008 schedule includes a NYC performance of Tsontakis's Violin Concerto No. 2, as well as playing recitals across the U.S. as a keynote speaker/representative for the United Jewish Communities’ (UJC) Speakers Bureau [7]. Noted performances and awards include: a New York Times and Boston Globe acclaimed premiere of the violin concerto “Versus” by Ron Ford [8] with the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra, a 2006 Salon de Virtuosi Grant [9], 2006 Tanglewood Music Center Jules Reiner Violin Prize, appearances with the Boston Pops Orchestra under Keith Lockhart at Symphony Hall, and recitals for the Boston Symphony Association of Volunteers.
