"He is known for his books about Napoleon's invasion of Russia and on the Crimean War that glorified military heroism of Russia and Russians"

I have removed part of the above statement because, without supporting evidence, it is more bias than fact. I have read Tarle's history of the Napoleonic Campaign into Russia and it seemed mroe objective than glorifying to me. It is very possible I am wrong, but in that case please support your point with evidence.
