Yeti Airlines is an airline based in Nepal. It operates an extensive domestic network of 29 destinations.

Yeti Airlines was established in May 1998 and received its Air Operators Certificate on 17 August 1998. It started operations with two De Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter aircraft. [1]

Yeti Airlines is Nepal's market leader in domestic airline industry of the country and has more than 60% of the total market share as of January 2007. It has the widest domestic flight network and flies to almost all destinations in Nepal. The airline has served much to the isolated population of Nepal living in far-flung mountain areas by providing the only means of transportation. They have also received permission for international operation in the year 2007.

Yeti airlines have jointly set up a low cost subsidiary with Air Arabia under the name Fly Yeti operating international services to Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Delhi, Doha, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Sharjah.

Everest View Sightseeing Flights

Yeti Airlines operates a one-hour long Everest view sightseeing flights every morning by Jetstream 41. The mountain flight, dubbed 'Everest Express' is one of the world's most exclusive tours. The airline provides a view-window for each passenger. Passengers are also provided a cockpit view of the Himalayas. The flight is one of the most popular tourism products of Nepal. Every year, thousands of tourists take this breathtaking flight of a lifetime.

Connectivity: Yeti Airlines is Nepal's premier domestic airline with connections to 29 destinations in Nepal. Most of the remote mountain destinations are connected by Yeti Airlines who also operate the DHC-6/300 "Twin Otter". With three operational hubs located in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Nepalgunj, the airline provides connections which are reliable.

The Yeti Airlines fleet includes the following aircraft (at March 2008):

In 2006 BAe Systems concluded an agreement with Yeti Airlines for the long-term lease of four 29-seat Jetstream 41 aircraft. The first aircraft was delivered in early May 2006 and the remaining three aircraft were delivered in the following months.[2] The fourth Jetstream was delivered on 29 August 2006. [3]. A fifth Jetstream was purchased outright in 2007 and arrived in Kathmandu on the 28th April 2007 [4]
