Yesterday Was a Lie is a film by director James Kerwin, starring Kipleigh Brown, Chase Masterson, and John Newton, with Robert Siegel and Peter Mayhew. In spring 2007 an early cut of the film was completed, the trailer of which premiered at San Francisco Wondercon. In August 2007, the film's official blog announced the completion of the motion picture.

On January 9, 2008, it was announced that Yesterday Was a Lie would begin its series of film festival screenings with a world premiere on January 17 at the 2008 Park City Film Music Festival, where it received a Gold Director's Choice Award. Yesterday has since received Best Feature awards at the 2008 Backlot Film Festival, the Brilliant Light International Film Festival of Los Angeles, the Lake Forest Film Festival, and the Wrath of Con Film Festival, as well as a bronze Telly Award.
