Yesería
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Yesería is a method of plaster work that originated during the Spanish Mudéjar period. It was used mostly as border. The white plaster would be applied to the surface, normally around windows and doorways for some decoration, then left to dry. Once it was fully dry, the Yesería would be carved into elaborate patterns. Most of these patterns were influenced by the Moors, an Islamic people living in Spain. Yesería was often highly carved with very little free space remaining.
