[edit] Production

Jim Carrey is not receiving any money upfront for his role in the movie. He will instead be paid based on the movie's success.[2]

During shooting of a scene where Carrey's character bungie jumps off a bridge, Carrey asked to do the stunt himself.[3] Carrey stated to the stunt double that he decides to do it in one take. When he jumped off, he is seen taking out a cell phone for the scene.
