About
{{YesAutosign}} is a non-categorical, bot-neutral way of explicitly opting in to having bots like SineBot automatically sign a user's comments— even if the person is an experienced Wikipedian. It can be particularly useful in instances where even the most seasoned wiki veteran has an absent-minded moment and is happy to have a bot watching over them.
It produces no visible output, because it creates a backreference to this page, which the bot then reads every five minutes or so.
Use
- Remain opted in - no matter what your level of experience, the bot will still happily sign any comment it thinks you accidentally made without signing.
- Add {{YesAutosign}} to your user page or your talk page and allow up to 5 minutes for it to take effect. Note, if you use {{NoAutosign}} as well, opting out will take precedence over opting in (i.e., the bot will assume you actually want to opt out if you give conflicting choices).
- Default behavior - the bot will either sign your comments or not sign your comments, depending on your experience and/or use of other opt out methods.
- Remove {{YesAutosign}} from your user page or your talk page and allow up to 5 minutes for it to take effect.
