Yerma (Villa-Lobos)

Yerma is an opera in three acts by Heitor Villa-Lobos to a Spanish libretto by the composer. Villa-Lobos based his libretto on the play by Federico García Lorca also called Yerma . It was first performed by the Santa Fe Opera in Santa Fe, New Mexico on August 12, 1971.
