Yengisar County

Yéngisar County (Chinese: 英吉沙县, yīng jí shā xiàn; Uyghur: يېڭىسار ناھىيىسى, Yéngisar Nahiyisi, Yengisar Nah̡iyisi) is a county in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in northwestern China. It is under the administration of the Kashgar Prefecture. It contains an area of 3,373 km2. As of the 2002 census, it had a population of 230,000.
The county seat is the city of Yéngisar (Yangihissar).

The city of Yangihissar gave its name to a lizard species, Yangihissar gecko (Cyrtopodion elongatus), which occurs throughout Eastern China.[1]
