Yemanzhelinsk

Yemanzhelinsk (Russian: Еманжелинск) is a town in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia, located on the eastern slopes of South Urals 50 km south of Chelyabinsk at . Population: 30,202 (2002 Census); 31,153 (1989 Census).
Founded in 1770 as a Cossack village, it has been known as stanitsa Yemanzhelinskaya (Еманжелинская) since 1866. It became a coal mining settlement in 1930–1931, which was granted town status on September 25, 1951.
