Yellow Bird is a Swedish based film and television production company founded by best selling novelist Henning Mankell, Ole Søndberg and Lars Björkman. The company was founded to produce films based on Mankells Kurt Wallander novels. The company was sold to Danish media house Zodiac in 2007.[1] Yellowbird is currently co-producing an English language version of the Wallander series with BBC starring Kenneth Branagh.[2]
