Yehoshua (surname)

Yehoshua is a rare Hebrew surname that is presumably derived directly from the English translation of יהושע, which means roughly "Yahweh rescues" or "Jehovah is salvation".[1][2] "Yehoshua" was also the Hebrew name for Jesus and Joshua and has been used as a masculine given name.

This surname is sufficiently rare to apparently not appear in the United States Census of 1990.[3]
