"Year 3000" is a song by British pop/rock group Busted, released as part of the album Busted in 2002 and as a single in 2003. It was later covered by American band the Jonas Brothers in 2006.

Lyrics in the song make references to the Back to the Future trilogy, including lines about the flux capacitor, and the fact that the time machine mentioned is "like one in a film I've seen".

Jonas Brothers covered and released "Year 3000" in 2006. To make their version more commercial and radio-friendly towards teenagers and kids, some of the lyrics from the original song were changed. For example, in the original version by Busted, it says "and your great-great-great granddaughter is pretty fine", while their version says "and your great-great-great granddaughter is doing fine"; also, the Jonas Brothers' "7th album ... outsold Kelly Clarkson" instead of Michael Jackson and "Girls there with round hair like Star Wars float above the floor" instead of "triple breasted women swim around town totally naked."

Although the Jonas Brothers version was released in 2006, the song did not chart on the Billboard Hot 100 until early 2007 when the song finally debuted at #40. Year 3000 was the group's first to chart and was also their first Top 40 single. The song eventually peaked at #31 on the Billboard Hot 100. Year 3000 is featured on their first two albums, It's About Time and Jonas Brothers.
