Ye Zhaoying (Chinese: 叶钊颖) (born May 07, 1974, in Hangzhou (杭州), Zhejiang province) is a retired women's singles badminton player from Zhejiang, the People's Republic of China. Since December 1995, she had been ranked number 1 in the world, and regained that title for many times afterwards.
She retired after the Sydney Olympic Games.

Her main achievements include the winners of the World Grand Prix in 1995, 1997 and 1999, and the IBF World Championships in 1995 and 1997, and the IBF World Cup in 1995. She also led the Chinese team to win the Uber Cup in 1992,1998 and 2000 Sudirman Cup in 1995, 1997 and 1999. And she won the All-England Open in 1997, 1998 and 1999.
Her other winner titles include: Asian Badminton Championships in 1992, 1994, 1995, 1998; Japan Open in 1993, 1996, 1998; Indonesia Open in 1992, 1993; Denmark Open in 1993; Hong Kong Open in 1993; Asian Cup of Badminton in 1994; Swedish Open in 1995; US Open in 1995; Singapore Open in 1998; She was a member of the Chinese Women Badminton Team, winners of the Asian Games in 1998. Besides, She obtained a bronze medal in Sydney Olympic Games in 2000.
