Image source problem with Image:MayoMain Bldg.jpg
This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:MayoMain Bldg.jpg. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:09, 2 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. Duplicate images uploaded
Thanks for uploading Image:Mayo Main Bldg.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:MayoMain Bldg.jpg. The copy called Image:MayoMain Bldg.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. Suggestions on properly tagging source and licensing information of Mayo College Main Building Image
Hi, I noticed you have uploaded an excellent photo of Mayo College, Ajmer main building, but for it to remain on wikipedia and not be deleted ONE HAS TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION as to the SOURCE of the Photo and the REASON why one has uploaded the photo on Wikipedia, also mention the same on the discussion/talk page of the image, which can be created first on wikicommons then on wikipedia itself.
- If one has photographed a photo oneself, the fact is to be provided and one has to release all copyright for free use by anyone anywhere in the world as a free image. Also use appropriate tag on the photo certifying the same (please press edit on some other similar school photos elsewhere on wikipedia and see how others have done it and used which tag).
- In another scenario if one studied at the school and bought the photo at the school, one has to mention the fact and mention who might the copyright belong too, for example to a school or a teacher etc. In that case I think one can still use the photo as a "fair use" image (low resolution without releasing the copyright as it belongs to someone else), see some examples of "Fair Use" Images by seeing other school photos elsewhere, press edit on these photos and see how they are tagged.
- If one has copied the image from a school / other website, then the fact and source link to the original image has to be provided with the image upload and mention it is a image from the website and copyright might belong to school, in this case too one could use the image in "Fair Use" without releasing the copyright as it belongs to someone else, please find some examples of fair use images on other articles and tag them appropriately, also make a discussion/talk page for the image in Wikipedia and Wikicommons etc.
- I am no expert myself, If help is needed for properly explaining and tagging an image so that it can remain on wikipedia and not be deleted I suggest you ask for help at Wikipedia School Project talk/discussion page here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Schools, kindly tell them how you came in possession of this image and who the copyright might might belong to and why you want to upload this image to wikipedia, how can you provide an appropriate tag with the image upload so that it is not deleted.
Personally I feel it is an excellent image for use with the Mayo College article, it will be great if this image can be saved on wikipedia and not be deleted for lack of source, copyright and licensing information.
Please see following appropriate pages:
- For wider usability and for use in other language versions on wikipedia it is recommended first to upload the image in WIKICOMMONS, here is the link:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:First_steps
- Once the image is uploaded on Wikicommons one can provide a link for it in English Wikipedia, Wikipedia:Upload. Image does not have to be uploaded again in english wikipedia but a special page has to be made with the same name as wikicommons and in which one can provide all explanation once again about source and licensing, as long as the page name is the same in wikicommon and wikipedia the image appears on its own, atleast that is what i have noticed.

Latest
I have realized if one has not clicked the photo himself and if one is not the copyright holder and if one is not releasing the copyright to everybody for free use then this copyrighted image for limited use in relative article on English Wikipedia should only be uploaded on English Wikipedia and not on the Wikipedia Commons as wikipedia commons is only for self created for free use or copyright released images only. In case we dont own the copyright we can still use images in English Wikipedia as fair use by providing appropriate reasoning and licensing tag, but it is extremely important to provide the actual source of the image we are uploading and the actual copyright holders name and photographers name etc.

- In regards to Image:Mayo Main Bldg.jpg, the first step is to determine where this picture came from. Without any sourcing information, the image cannot remain on Wikipedia as pointed by user Jh12 on:

My Email to you
Dear Wikipedia User Ydalal
I have been working on the "Mayo College" Article on English Wikipedia, the free web encyclopedia. (Link to the article:)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayo_College
I noticed you have uploaded an excellent photograph of "Mayo College Main Building" for use in this article. (Link to your photo upload:)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Mayo_Main_Bldg.jpg
Editors of the "Mayo College" article are trying to make it better but have realized that your excellent photo of Mayo College Main Building will soon be deleted from Wikipedia because you have not provided any information related to this photo. Personally I think this photo is great, I will be very happy if it remains on this Wikipedia article permanently but for this you will have to provide and type SOME NECESSARY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
1) One has to explain the "SOURCE" from where you got this photo originally, for example if you took this photo yourself (mention that), if you copied it from a website (which website address), if you were studying at this school and bought it from the school or bought it from a teacher/photographer (please provide a name or the fact that it was bought from the school), if you took it from a friend or found it posted in somebodies photo album etc. please provide this information.
2) If you took this photo yourself and if you want to release all copyright for free use for anybody in the world to use it free, you will have to mention these facts at the image upload page, please press edit and write these facts on the image page and use appropriate tag. In this case you can upload the image by making a account at the "Wikipedia Commons / Wikimedia Commons" website from where it will be available to all language versions of wikipedia.
(Start at this page from "Wikipedia Commons / Wikimedia Commons" website:)
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Upload
We can ask Questions here:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Help_desk
Please find some examples of other photos like these and see what tags are used in them by pressing edit on them (do not save any edit) you could use same / similar tags:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:La_Martiniere3-Lucknow.jpg
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Monitors_Mayo_College_Ajmer.jpg
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Mehrangarh_Fort.jpg
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Rajputsword.jpg
3) In case the photographer does not want to release the copyright but allows use of the image in wikipedia then the image "can not" be uploaded to Wikipedia Commons, as explained to me a copyrighted images can only be uploaded in English Wikipedia then, in this case you will have to start the upload here in Wikipedia (English Wikipedia). Note this page is not the same as above and not Wikipedia Commons / Wikimedia Commons, this page is Wikipedia Only:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Upload
We can ask Questions here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Media_copyright_questions
Please find some examples of other photos like these and see what tags are used in them by pressing edit on them (do not save any edit) you could use same tags:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:DoonSchool-mainbld.jpg
4) In 3) above in "Wikipedia" (but not in "Wikipedia Commons / Wikimedia Commons") we can upload copyrighted photographs even if we have copied images from a website, bought them from a photographer, took them from a friend without telling the owner of the image or taking his permission. But in this case we have to truthfully acknowledge the true source, ONE HAS TO GIVE THE TRUE SOURCE OF THE PHOTO and mention where we found the photo, which website address, which photographer, or which shop/person/institution we bought the photo from, or which friend took this original photo etc.
4A) Then we have to go on and GIVE A REASON WHY WE ARE USING IT AND IN WHICH ARTICLE and give a "Fair Use" rationale:
For example: this photo is from my personal collection, I bought this photo from the school, the copyright belongs to the school or to this teacher or may belong to a teacher there and I will like to use this low resolution scan of this original photo as "Fair Use" in the English Wikipedia as it is a good and rare photo showing the main building of this school article on wikipedia. (I am myself new at this so I can only suggest)
Please search and see some examples:
