Yasuda clan

The Yasuda clan was a family line established by Oe Hiromoto that rose to a level of note by the latter Sengoku Period of Feudal Japan. Presently within the province of Echizen upon their entry into the warring years of the 16th century, it is recorded that by means of their direct ancestor, the Yasuda were relatives to both the Kitajo and the Mori, but nonetheless came under the influence of Uesugi Kenshin by the year of 1559, as the Kitajo were at that time retainers to the former, while the Mori held independence. Following Kenshin's passing and the initial dispute of successorship between Uesugi Kagetora and Kagekatsu, the Yasuda would choose to assist the latter within the Otate no ran, where warriors of note such as Yasuda Nagahide became their figureheads of influence throughout the course of such a conflict.
