Yasu District, Shiga

Yasu (野洲郡; -gun) was a district located in Shiga, Japan. The district was dissolved when Chuzu and Yasu towns merged on Oct. 1, 2004, effectively turning Yasu District into a Yasu city.
In 2003, the district had an estimated population of 49,155 and a density of 799.92 persons per km². The total area was 61.45 km².
