Yassine Chikhaoui (Arabic: ياسين الشيخاوي‎) (born 22 September 1986) is a Tunisian football (soccer) player who currently plays as a attacking midfielder and striker for FC Zurich.

He was recently called up to the Tunisian national team to participate in the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

He was signed by FC Zürich on 5 year contract on 22 May, 2007.[1] Yassine Chikhaoui has scored 7 times for FC Zurich in 16 (league only) games and he is being heavily scouted by the dutch team Ajax along with interest from Bayern Munich, Olympique Lyonnais, Inter Milan, Arsenal, Fenerbahçe[2] and many others.

During the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations, It was reported that many clubs had scouts present to watch Chikhaoui.[3] [4] [5]

His impressive determination, leadership and mentality lead him to to the captaincy of Etoile du Sahel at the age of just 17 (a club record).
