Yangyang International Airport (Hangul: 양양 국제 공항, Hanja: 襄陽國際空港, Revised Romanization: Yangyang Gukje Gonghang, McCune-Reischauer: Yangyang Kukche Konghang) (IATA: YNY, ICAO: RKNY) is a small international airport in the northeast of South Korea. It is located in Yangyang County, Gangwon Province and serves the nearby cities of Sokcho and Gangneung, whose airport it replaced. Tourists bound for the Seoraksan national park also use Yangyang airport. There are occasional charters to China, Japan, & Taiwan. China Eastern, China Southern, and Jeju Air formerly served this airport.
In 2007, 33,686 passengers used the airport.[1] This airport is very underutilised.
