- This is a Korean name; the family name is Yang.
Yang Hyun Suk (Hangul: 양현석; born December 2, 1970), also known as Yang Goon, debuted as part of the legendary group Seo Taiji & Boys and was member until the group disbanded in January 1996. After groups breakup he went on to establish and produce other artists.
In 1998, he established YG Entertainment and released his first solo album which featured a song composed by Seo Taiji. This was their first collaboration since the breakup. Yang Goon has produce fairly successful artists under his entertainment, most notably Jinusean, 1TYM, Se7en, and his latest, Big Bang.
