Yana Lewis

Yana Lewis, an international ballerina and choreographer from the UK. Yana launched her dance career at the tender age of two and acquired a number of degrees and distinctions in the years to follow. Yana has performed extensively in the UK and Europe, for both modern and classical ballet companies. Including playing principal roles in Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Coppelia, Peter and the Wolf, Dance for Everyone and Gravity Dance Theatre.

Yana has choreographed and performed in many music videos for some of the world’s biggest stars such as Elton John and Ray Parker Jr. She has performed in numerous television shows regularly for BBC TV, LWT TV and Thames TV.

Affiliated to the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD), Yana is Principal of two dance academies in the UK and India. She has taught at several prestigious European dance colleges and in St. Petersburg, Russia.

A dedicated dance professional, Yana recognised the void in India in international stand dance and is committed to filling this, using her vast creative expertise, experience and versatility. In addition to her dance academies and YLDC, Yana is also founder of The Lewis Foundation of Classical Ballet, which is striving to promote classical western dance forms in India.

Above all, Yana’s boundless skill and talent is manifested in the sheer joy and exuberance that is the hallmark of any project she undertakes, and the inspiration she provides to the hundreds of young dancers training with her.
