Yan Wal Yun

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Yan Wal Yun (Thai: หยั่น หว่อ หยุ่น; Chinese: 仁和園) is one of the largest sauce companies in Thailand. It was founded in 1947 by the Tungsombutvisit family. In 1954 the factory expanded for the first time because of the growing interest in the company's products. It was moved to Sathon, Bangkok, which is 10 times larger than the previous factory. A few decades later the company registered as Company Limited.

Once again in 1980 the factory was expanded, and was moved to Tha Chin, Mueang Samut Sakhon, Samut Sakhon. The factory, after many decades of success, was always well known for its sauces, and therefore, the need for the larger premises and new registrations increased.

The Islamic Council of Thailand then gave Yan Wal Yun the Halal Seal, which shows the quality and hygiene in the products, which is a great honour for the company. They had the permission to display the seal on all of their products. This happened right before the company expanded once again, this time overseas, so reach a much larger market. Up to this day, the company has products in many major markets in a number of countries.

Yan Wal Yun was the first company to be granted the Thai Industrial Standards in the soy sauce category, which ensures quality and consistency worldwide.

In 1990, Yan Wal Yun became a professional business, as it was originally a family business. This change then brought on another- they started to expand their product range. In 1997, the company expanded again- and the new premises allowed the company to become recognised as one of the most advanced companies in the Soy Sauce Manufacturing Industry.

There are many different favors of sauces like oyster sauce, sweet and sour, spicy, and even more but it would be too much to fit on this page.
