Yan Paing

Yan Paing is a Burmese footballer for Myanmar National Football Team. He currently plays club football with Finance & Revenue FC. Yan Paing is a key striker for the Myanmar National Team.

Yan Paing entered the international scene after scoring the second goal against Singapore in a group match of the 2001 South East Asian Games football tournament. His goal sent Myanmar to the semi-finals. After losing to Malaysia 0-1 in the semis, Myanmar defeated Indonesia 1-0 for the bronze medal and Yan Paing was the scorer of the lone goal of the game.

With good ball control and vision, Yan Paing gave impressive performances during Tiger Cup 2002 and Sea Games 2003. Foreign professional clubs showed interest in him but the deals did not go through.

Yan Paing was injured after playing the first few games during Tiger Cup 2004 and Merdeka Cup 2006. Yan Paing did not play a key role in those tournaments due to injuries.

Recently, Yan Paing was top scorer for Merdeka Cup 2007 with 4 goals.
