Have fun here

Hey guy! Listen, we are all human here. I have made mistakes, we all have. If you don’t want to make mistakes, just stop editing. That’s right. Going further, just stop doing your job in real life. I’m not done. Just stop being a friend to someone, after all, you might make a mistake. I’m not done yet- It gets better. Just stop being HUMAN! How dare we as a group of editors expect our admins to be anything other that robotic machines to maintain this project, and protect it based on not just policies, but human judgment.

All the sarcasm and my emotions aside - Yanksox, you have done a great job, your work here is appreciated, and don’t ever let what happens here affect your life outside this project. If this project cannot respect the decency and dignity of people outside this venture, why should we let that affect our lives who are unpaid for our contribs, etc. Do not let this place get you down. It is not worth it. JungleCat Shiny!/Oohhh! 05:00, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Brian Peppers

Hi, I'm not a vandal or anything, I'm just genuinely curious, and the article said that I should contact the admin who deleted the article if I wanted to know why.

Who is this Brian Peppers? I've heard of him, and seen him on jokes sites. But is it true what they say about him? That's why I checked Wikipedia, to see if any of it's true. Why is his article protected? Is there anyway I can see one of the draughts?

Cheers —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryan4314 (talkcontribs) 12:15, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Frederick de Cordova.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Frederick de Cordova.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 21:30, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Admin Coaching Re-confirmation

Hello, previously you expressed interest in participating in the Wikipedia:Admin coaching project. We are currently conducting a reconfirmation drive to give coaches the opportunity to update their information and capacity to participate in the project. Please visit Wikipedia:Admin coaching/Status to update your status and move your entry to the Active list. Also, please remember to update your capacity (5th table variable) in the form of a fraction (eg. 2/3 means you are currently coaching 2 students, and could accept 1 more student). Thank you. [edit] My RfB

I wanted to personally thank you, Yank (putting Sox after Yank is borderline blasphemous, you know :-P ), for your support in my recent RfB. I am thankful and appreciative that you feel that I am worthy of the trust the community requires of its bureaucrats, and I hope to continue to behave in a way that maintains your trust in me and my actions. I have heard the community's voice that they require more of a presence at RfA's of prospective bureaucrats, and I will do my best over the near future to demonstrate such a presence and allow the community to see my philosophy and practices in action. I hope I can continue to count on your support when I decide to once again undergo an RfB. If you have any suggestions, comments, or constructive criticisms, please let me know via talkpage or e-mail. Thank you again. -- Avi (talk) 15:27, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] snookered?

Hey Yanksox, long time no see... glad to see you're around. Regarding our friend's talk page User talk:Snookerhorn, he's persisted so I warned him again, a bit more firmly... He'll be wearing a block if he doesn't knock it off. I need to go review all his other socks more closely too, I think. ++Lar: t/c 13:01, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Channel101A.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Channel101A.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --21:05, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
