The Yamaha Pacifica is an electric guitar manufactured by Yamaha. It has two single coil pickups and a humbucker or a pair of single coil pickups, all of which are made by Seymour Duncan. The Yamaha Pacifica comes in various guises (single or double cutaway), available in black, lake blue, metallic red, natural, old violin sunburst and translucent green. The guitar has a master volume, a master tone, a 5-way (or 3-way) pickup switch and comes in left or right handed versions. The Pacifica guitars feature a solid alder body and a bolt-on 2-piece maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and 22 frets (except for the Tele-style Pacifica PAC1511MS which had a natural swamp ash body and a 1-piece maple neck/fretboard). All Pacifica models came in 6 different styles, with a side-mount jack socket. These copies of the ever-popular Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster guitars normally cost around $150-$200. Influential endorsees of the Pacifica guitars include Michael Lee Firkins and esteemed Tele ace Mike Stern, who received his own signature guitars in 1997.
