The Yamaha DT125 model represents a product by many years of Yamaha Motor Corporation's experience in the production of fine sporting, touring, and pace-setting racing machines. It has a high degree of craftmaship and reliability as a leader in its field. Debuted in 1968 as a successor of Yamaha DT-1, thus inventing the trail bike category of motorcycle. It was, at the time rated, the best enduro motorcycle on the market. Mostly exported to East Asian countries, it is especially popular in the Philippines.
