Yamaha Banshee 350

Yamaha Banshee is a two-stroke, twin 350 all-terrain vehicle manufactured in Japan and sold in the U.S. from 1987 to 2006;however was not sold in the U.S. after 2006, but still manufactured 2006 models which were simply just a remake of the 2005 model and only produced in the fall of 2005 and no later. Due to U.S. EPA emission restrictions, the Banshee is no longer sold at U.S. dealers but are still being sold in Canada as a 2007 model and a 2008. It is unknown if there will be a 2009 follow-up. It is likely however for Canadians. ($8,049 CAN MSRP). Its water cooled engine is a non power valve version of the power plant used in Yamaha's RD/RZ350 street bike with transmission gear ratios adjusted for ATV use. Differences between model years are minor, including color combinations, upper j-arms on early models (1987 to 1990) followed by a-arms on subsequent models, the addition of a brake light in late production machines (2002 and on), and minor differences in electrical connector styles. The Banshee has had the longest production run of any ATV. Despite the government emission restrictions and subsequent discontinuation of sales in the United States, the Banshee continues to be the undisputed champion, especially in sand dunes, of all four-wheelers, maintaining a devout following of riders that enjoy a thrill not found with any other ATV in production.

Addition- in 1990 the carrier was changed from 2 bearings to 3 and in 1992 the chain slack adjustment was changed.
