Talk:Yamaha SR500

Another classic about which more should be said. Respectfully, SamBlob 23:42, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
Definately. I've copied the template from the YZF1 page, to be used as a template. I'm going to update information as I find it. It's such a cult bike, I believe more needs to be here about it. Regards, Marlon
Don't know why it says the bike is still being made, can find no mention on the Yamaha site! Big shame as I owned 2 of these over the years and would get it again if I could. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.40.67.106 (talk) 13:47, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
The SR400 is still being sold in Japan and Australia (as a grey import) It's still very much the same. Now it's disc front, drum rear and has a different ignition system - though it's still kick start only. The engine is exactly the same, but with a different stroke to get around Japanese licencing laws. The SR will be fuel injected from next year. Go to the japanese site for the sr400, I find it stupid that the bike is not available to buy in the international market. www.yamaha-motors.co.jp —Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.44.142.146 (talk) 13:44, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
