Yalla Ya Nasrallah

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Yalla Ya Nasrallah", roughly translating to "Bring It On Nasrallah"[citation needed], is an Israeli pop song written by Frishman and the Pioneers during the 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict. The amateur music video associated with it [1] features clips of Israeli soldiers, in military exercises. In an interview on Israeli TV, Assa Frishman was quick to mention that the music video was "not created by (him or the band), or in any way associated with the song." The lyrics include an array of insults directed toward Hezbollah (particularly Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah), Iran, and Syria. It quickly became popular in Israel as "a sort of anthem that would both unite people and make them laugh."[2] Soon after its release in Israel, the song and music video became popular among users on the web, who favor Israel in their political opinions.[citation needed]
