Soviet (Russian) Marshal of the Armour FEDORENKO Yakov Nikolayevich (1896-1947)

In the 1940-1942 period, chief of the Automobile and Armored Directorate, from December 1942 - commander of the Red Army's armored and mechanized troops, Deputy People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR. During the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) was constantly in the combat army, rendered practical assistance in the use of armored and mechanized troops in battles against the enemy, was representative of the Supreme Command Headquarters in the Battles of Moscow, Stalingrad and Kursk and many other major operations.
