[edit] Greetings
Hello. Welcome to Wikipedia. -Amake 11:56, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. I'm doing pretty good as far as city relations go. I'm also not JET, so that might have something to do with it. JET is being phased out in this area.
- I know you're not JET, but you're the replacement for JET, and somehow I doubt they'd rush out to get new housing just because you're not JET. Just a word of warning. -Amake 22:28, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, and I forgot to add: If you haven't already you should check out the CIR Homepage. You don't need to be a JET to join, and it's a good resource for ideas, help, and generally keeping in contact with your JET and privately-hired peers around Japan. -Amake 05:08, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
I love the CIR Homepage actually, though I tend to receive more than I am able to give on there. I don't have any plans to head down to Ikata anytime soon, but I hope to meet you some day cause you seem like a good person. Thanks for the help.
[edit] re:Manami Hino
You are welcome. I am actually working a project on bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton and I saw Hiro's name come up. When I saw what had been written on her name, I had to strengthen up what had been written up about her. Chris 12:35, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Responding to your note on my talk page
Hi.
Wikipedia:Manual of Style (follow that wikilink, or "WP:MOS" for short) is actually a number of related articles. If you start at that wikilink, you should be able to find the specific section of interest. Another useful link is WP:WP.
I edit a lot of articles, and I'm not sure which of my edits you might be commenting about -- can you please let me know? I would like to look at what I might have done to cause "jarble".
Cheers. Boracay Bill 02:03, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Japan's new immigration system
Wow. Just as I am gearing up to get serious about going to Japan to live and work. Should I have trepidation, or do you think it will be more nuisance? Domo, Chris 08:50, 8 November 2007 (UTC) Just an unfriendly nuisance that will take up more of your time in the immigration line. Depressingly, many of the major nations of the world are moving in this direction of xenophobia. Technically it's another violation of privacy and human rights, but unless you want to go on some kind of crusade against these systems (which are popping up all over) all in all it's just a nuisance.Yaki-gaijin 09:34, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Banning ikedanobuo
[edit] Statement of dispute
Ikedanobuo has wasted an unacceptable amount of wikipedians’ time with his disruptive edits. His unconstructive and biased edits have prevented the Comfort women page from growing and being improved, and the evidence of his Bad-faith is ample;
[edit] Desired outcome
Block Ikedanobuo to prevent further disruption of Wikipedia; especially the Comfort women article.
[edit] Description
Description of each offense is listed in the Evidence section below
[edit] Evidence of disputed behavior
[edit] Persistent vandalism: forcing POV
- Ikedanobuo constantly edits the Comfort Women page, but does so in a blatantly biased manner. Many times using unsubstantiated phrases like
But Kaneko is famous as a liar etc, and touts his biased POV as the truth.
- Ikedanobuo makes discussion topics such as ”Conclusions” and ”Summing up” where he decides what is fact and what is not and lies about having a consensus. This is NOT editing in good faith, by any means.
- Ikedanobuo has made multiple unconstructive, if not damaging, edits to various articles and has been warned by many users. Here is one example,and a deleted one,
and you can find many more by searching through User talk:Ikedanobuo’s history because he regularly deletes discussions about his disruptive behavior and other warnings that have been placed on his talk page.
[edit] Edit warring or revert warring
- Ikedanobuo makes huge deletions without consensus. Many times the content he tries to delete is content that has been reverted from his previous deletes. Here are two examples of his large-scale, biased editing:
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Comfort_women&diff=167999401&oldid=167098524 and most recently, http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Comfort_women&diff=170271039&oldid=170236723 (You will notice if you scroll through the entire record of his changes, in these two instances, that he tends to purposely employ weasel words and inserts POV comments or just unsubstantiated and blatantly biased material)
- Ikedanobuo’s misconduct has been going on for a long time on the Comfort women article.
- and the article was blocked allegedly because of the edit wars caused by Ikedanobuo.
[edit] Breaching the sock puppetry policy
- Ikedanobuo may or may not be using 1 or more sock puppets by the names of User:Tropicaljet, and User:Necmate. They all seem to employ the same disruptive tactics (if you look through the warnings on their talk pages), they have similar 1-line user pages, and at the very least Tropicaljet seems to know Ikedanobuo, if they aren’t the same person.
[edit] Applicable policies and guidelines
[edit] Evidence of trying and failing to resolve dispute
Ikedanobuo’s character is under dispute. Even though it seems a useful discussion is taking place, Ikedanobuo basically ignores others’ comments and continues to edit as he pleases. Here are some examples of people trying to discuss issues with Ikedanobuo;
- Ikedanobuo continues to delete entries mentioned in this discussion even though the consensus is that they are valid
- Revealing his biased anger
- Making broad conclusions while ignoring others' input/corrections
- Once again, deciding what is truth without actually engaging in discussion

[edit] Comment on process
Hi, on a first reading, I identified the sentences I do not think appropriate. There is however two problem I see at the moment for this process. 1) If we look in history of the article, [[1]], we see it was blocked on 24th March. However, the days before, it was not Ikedanobuo, but Tropicaljet who was edit warring and reverting to Ikedanobuo's version. Must we simply imply he is the same user ? 2) The users who request the investigation must need to show that they tried to resolve a dispute with this user and have failed. [[2]] At the moment, I do not think with two can prove this. We cannot go back to March and since October Ikedanobuo has not been very active on the article.....--Flying tiger 13:31, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

I haven't grew too used to this either, but buddy, you need to start getting used to a little something called the preview button. It could save you a lot of time. Odst (talk) 20:10, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
HAhahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I hate proof-reading... But I do seem to like going back and polishing things I've wrote. Yaki-gaijin (talk) 22:34, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

WP:ANI#Long time abusing Wikipedia by Japanese editors from 2channel meat/sock puppets
Hi, Yaki-gaijin, I'm Appletrees. I just come to inform you that you have been exposed to 2channel, Japanese famous bulletin board. Unfortunately, many Japanese editors seem to have abused Wikipedia with the threads for over 4 years. The discussion set up three days ago, but I let you know of this now. You live in Japan per your page, so that you can directly find information regarding you. I translated some, but the threads are too many, so If you have a time to look at it, visit the links listed there. I also add the diff in case you come to the page much later, Thanks. --Appletrees (talk) 01:55, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
- I responded on your talk page. Yaki-gaijin (talk) 07:18, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

- Yes, your name is mentioned quite a lot for Comfort women and Hata articles. I translated some of them into English and you can see it in the collapsible box named "Chosenjin's Wikipedia 21". You met Hermeneus (talk · contribs), Jjok (talk · contribs), Amazonfire (talk · contribs) because of 2channel. --Appletrees (talk) 10:23, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

- Hahahah. Ok I found it. I am 焼き外人 and I'm guessing you are アップル. Just a bunch of geeks getting together to vandalize Wikipedia. There's no way to stop them on 2CH, but we can at least keep deleting their crap once it hits Wikipedia. Thank you very much for the notification, and keep up the good work! [edit] Speedy deletion of Rights holder
A tag has been placed on Rights holder requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. --/Mendaliv/2¢/Δ's/ 02:27, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
