[edit] Tenzen is half Iga and half Kouga?
A recent edit to this article says this:
His parentage is unknown in the novel compared to the manga and anime that implies he is a child of Iga and Kouga.
I do not remember this being implied anywhere in the anime. If anyone knows where this comes from, can I get a reference on it? I'd just like to know which episode, or to be reminded of what happened in the anime to suggest this. -- Lilwik 09:59, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
It's implied several times during the anime. First, in episode 3 where Tenzen reveals that he is familiar with most of the Koga's techniques, then again in episode 21 where he reveals to Ofuku that he joined the Iga's village 200 years ago, and then finally confirmed in the flashbacks of episode 22 and 23 where it shows Tenzen's mother meeting with someone outside the Koga's encampment where she was killed by her lover's underlings.
- Those flashbacks have always been confusing for me. I watch them again and again, but I have a hard time getting anything out of them. How can you tell that the meeting was outside the Kouga's encampment? All I saw was a meeting and I see no clue about where it is happening. What are you seeing that is telling you that? -- Lilwik 06:00, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Tenzen's Childhood?
In the article it talks about the creature that lives inside Tenzen and says that when he was born the face of the creature was on his cheek. Where does this come from? I am certain that it was not in the anime or the novel. Can someone verify that it is in the manga? Which book? -- Lilwik 23:15, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
It was revealed in the manga volume 5. However, Tenzen's origins differ in the anime (see above).
