Yajaira Cristina Vera Roldán

Yajaira Cristina Vera Roldán, of Venezuela, is Miss Venezuela 1988 and the winner of the Miss Globe International pageant in 1988.

She was born in Caracas, Venezuela, April 3, 1960. Representing Táchira in the 1987 Miss Venezuela national pageant, she was eventually replaced by another contestant called Rosalinda Serfaty Rosenstock. But neither Yajaira or Rosalinda represented Táchira. That year that andean state didn't have delegate in Miss Venezuela. Upon joining the pageant a year later, this time as the representative of Miranda, she won the title and was sent to Taipei, Taiwan as the representative of Venezuela for the Miss Universe pageant. She placed among the 10 semi-finalists.

Later on in the year, she represented Venezuela anew in Bodrum, Turkey in the Miss Globe International, where she won the crown. She married before she gave up her crown to the new Miss Globe 1989.

In the mid 1990s, Yajaira Vera worked as a news presenter for El Observador, the news program of Radio Caracas Televisión.
