YaHooka.com is a web site based around marijuana. It includes a marijuana-related link directory, as well as an active message board. YaHooka has had documented troubles with the Internet portal Yahoo! due to similarities between the two names. The website has been active since early 1999. The stated goal of YaHooka is “to unite the marijuana internet [sic] community” and to become “an on-line demonstration that [marijuana consumers] are in every neighborhood, state and country, of every vocation, age, social group and color.”[1]

[edit] Down Time

The YaHooka server has often been inaccessible over the course of its existence, the most recent time being from June 25, through June 28, 2007. Some information on the main site or forums was lost. A server crash in 2001 resulted in the loss of large amounts of data.
