Yagami Toll

Yagami Toll (ヤガミ トール) born August 19, 1962, is the oldest member and drummer for the Japanese rock band BUCK-TICK since 1985. He is also the older brother of Higuchi Yutaka.

Yagami Toll has performed in a musical side-project with Jose Tino PePe & Maike (まいけ), as The Blue Sky, and Alex Tamagi & James Norwood, as the Optical Surfers, in the group Yagami Toll & The Blue Sky (2004).

Yagami Toll & The Blue Sky was a side-project started by the BUCK-TICK drummer Yagami Toll in 2004. It consists of himself as drummer and vocalist, The Blue Sky & the Optical Surfers on bass, guitar, keyboards, and also on vox with SUZU, Maiku (also called 'Papa Maiku') & many other friends.
Only one album has been released entitled 1977/Blue Sky (July 28, 2004). The album is said to be a highly personal album. Toll's inspiration being his other brother, who died in a motorcycle accident in May of 1977.
Toll was inspired at an early age by classic rock such as The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Deep Purple. Toll held drum clinics in Japan in the summer of 1999. He has also played on the album 'Super Rock Summit ~Tengoku He No Kaidan~', performing the song Hot Dog (tribute album for John Bonham of Led Zeppelin).
