[edit] Release

In Naïm's birth country of France her self-titled album was released on October 22, 2007. On iTunes the album was available as a digital download world-wide but did not gain much popularity until February 2008 when Apple advertisements for the MacBook Air laptop which featured her song New Soul as the soundtrack began to be broadcast.

In the United States and Canada the album was released in stores on March 18, 2008. Largely due to the popularity of the song New Soul being featured on the advertisement and receiving substantial play as its soundtrack, it debuted at #15 in Canada and #55 in the United States.
