Yadrinsky District

Yadrinsky District (Russian: Ядринский райо́н; Chuvash: Етĕрне районĕ) is a district (raion) of the Chuvash Republic, Russia. The district's administrative center, the town of Yadrin, is located 79 kilometers (49 mi) from Chuvashia's capital city of Cheboksary. District's population: 34,456 (2002 Census); 36,745 (1989 Census).

The district was formed on September 27, 1944. It is situated in the north-western part of Chuvashia, bordering the Mari El Republic in the north, Morgaushsky District in the east, Alikovsky and Krasnochetaysky Districts in the south, and Nizhny Novgorod Oblast in the west.

The head of the Morgaushsky District administration is Yevgeny Mikhaylovich Yaransky.
