[edit] License tagging for Image:UFE.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:UFE.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:12, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Possible false licensing
I observed that the license you added to this image might be an image copyright violation. It's a logo and most logo are copyrighted. I changed {{PD-self}} to {{non-free logo}} which is more appropriate. To comply wiki policy, please add a detailed rationale on the image description page. Thank you. --βandβ (talk•contribs) 10:41, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Hello. Having looked at this article it seems to represent a neutral point of view. Which part of the article do you think is biased? Please discuss any concerns you have about the article on its talk page. Thanks. -- zzuuzz (talk) 21:41, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Duplicate images uploaded
Thanks for uploading Image:LabOndes.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:LabOnes.jpg. The copy called Image:LabOnes.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot (talk) 12:44, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:UFE log.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:UFE log.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 19:27, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Inaugura.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Inaugura.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 15:08, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:UFE.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:UFE.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 14:57, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Electronics and communications engineering
Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Electronics and communications engineering, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 14:59, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- I see that You have expanded the article, so in a way it is understandable that You removed the prod-template. My reason "Mostly comments on engineering educations in Egypt, difficult to expand" was perhaps not very clear. I find that the article is more like an essay about engineering in Egypt, than an encyclopedic article about the subject as indicated by the title. Please focus on the education, with an introduction like:
"Electronics and communications engineering is a branch of engineering offered in many engineering academies in Egypt. The education comprises of...".
or something to that effect. —Leo Laursen ( T ¦ C ) 21:27, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] German University in Cairo
I have reverted your edits to the German University in Cairo. Please don't change them back; for the "neutrality" of the article, discuss the non NPOV on its talk page. As for the "See also" section, it is arranged alphabetically, so Université Française d'Égypte can not come first, even though it is your university. Regards, Abdallah (talk) 14:18, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] April 2008
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on French University in Egypt. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Noetic Sage 20:12, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] RE: ::UNIVERSITÉ FRANÇAISE D’ÉGYPTE::
Really? Not translated you say? Here's the official website: http://www.ufe.edu.eg/. Funny how it's clearly spelt in English there, so unless you gain concensus in the article talk page to have the article title in French, I will be changing back. Thank you. — Dorvaq (talk) 15:02, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- The way the article is currently set up was never an issue. — Dorvaq (talk) 16:15, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
I was responding to the following statement you made:
It is not a big deal anyway, I know, but at the very least leave the page titled "French University in Egypt" like it is and let the page titled "Université Française d´Égypte" like it is for the people who will search the name in French.
In short, the redirect for the French title was never a problem — or the way the article is currently set up. — Dorvaq (talk) 13:11, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
