[edit] Barcodes
If you're doing what I think you're doing I strongly advise against it, wikipedia is not the right place for a comprehensive database of barcodes, for more information about what wikipedia is not, see WP:NOT. I'm however not ruling out the existence of a barcode wiki somewhere, you just need to find it :)
Alternatively, you could set one up at Wikicities -Obli (Talk)? 21:23, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for spotting my mistake, usually I make the mistake of letting a spellchecker proofread my texts :) Anyway, WP:NOT remains, compare it with the undertaking of creating an article for every phone number there is. Sure, it *is* information, but you wouldn't want it to bog up an encyclopedia. I've pasted a link to this talk page on the IRC channel, an admin or two should chime by to give you their opinions any moment now.
- Still, I think it's a cool idea and a wiki would certainly fit that purpose, it'd have to be a wiki dedicated to barcodes in that case... -Obli (Talk)? 22:07, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Astronomical Pocket Diary.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Astronomical Pocket Diary.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
