Yılankale, or Castle of the Snakes is a medieval crusader castle, located east of Adana in modern day Turkey, sitting on a hill near the city of Ceyhan.
The castle and its impressive towers are visible from the highway E5 from Adana to Iskenderun, on a rocky hill. Yılankale is one of many castles in the Adana area. It was built in the 11th or the 12th century, and was used by the Crusaders of the Kingdom of Armenia. Two of its towers are located either side of the entrance, with a third one opposite. Inside the castle are a church, storage rooms, a cistern and several rooms.
